Savatiano is Greece's most widely planted grape variety. Often used as the base for Retsina wines, it's now being produced as a "non-resinated" dry white wine with flavours of unripe apple, melon and citrus (lime & lemon). Commonly blended with Roditis and Assyrtiko varieties, Savatiano wines are generally deeply coloured and pair well with marinated meats and smoked fish dishes.
