Here we have some easily recognised grape varieties. They’ve been around a long time, big in the eighties, often referred to as Plonk, that may be…. but these are POSH plonk!

Three Vineyards Shiraz, Australia

A fusion of aromas with mulberry, lifted pepper spice and raspberry. There are delicious ripe blackberries, plums and a hint of spice on the palate. The fruit for this food-friendly Shiraz is specially selected from three Victoria vineyards.

Carlomagno Primitivo Appassimento, Puglia, Italy

Full-bodied and powerful, with complex aromas of over-ripe cherries, raspberries, redcurrants, plum spices and chocolate. The palate has flavours of dried fruit, raisins, plums, damsons, garrigue and spice. Finishing with lovely rich, sweet fruit.

Bagordi Tinto Rioja Joven, Spain

Blending organic Tempranillo with Garnacha and Graciano gives a deep red colour to this young Rioja. A fruity nose of cranberries and gooseberries, with a background of mocha and vanilla notes, makes for attractive drinking. 

Macon Chardonnay Cave Talmard Mallory Benjamin, France

A well-balanced wine with a good weight of Chardonnay fruit. Apple, peach and grapefruit flavours. An excellent, bright and fresh wine with good structure and a creamy texture. Rarely does a Burgundly of such humble status taste so good!

Two Rivers Convergence Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand

Complex passionfruit, gooseberry, herb and green pea aroma with nuances of lychee and white spices. A smooth, silky mouthfeel with tangy acidity, tropical fruits and subtle spices make this a fantastic drinking Marlborough Sauvignon.

Painted Wolf The Den Series Chenin Blanc, South Africa

An unoaked Chenin from the wilds of Swartland, having a fruity aroma and flavours of tropical fruit, sweet melon, pear, peaches and pineapple with an underlying savoury minerality. A great texture, fresh acidity and a long, layered finish.
