A 90 minute drive north of Adelaide, Clare Valley is renowned for its Riesling wines and the "Aged Release" from Pauletts, only available from the best vintages, is a wine held back in their cellars for a least 5 years. Bottle-aged Riesling develops a fuller, richer palate with distinct flavour characteristics. The difference between the normal, early release wines and the aged bottling is simply remarkable, enabling you to drink a fully aged, dry wine which has been kept in perfect conditions at the winery with only a minimal outlay.

Producer Tasting Note:

Pale straw yellow in color with aromas of citrus (lemon curd), florals, marmalade, lanolin, and toast on the nose. The palate offers a rich, citrusy character, along with toast, honey, and subtle slate & mineral notes. Velvety mouthfeel with balanced acidity, leading to a long finish.

Critic's Tasting Note:

"Quite a deep straw. Some real lime-marmalade on toast sensation. Definite evolution! Bone dry. Really quite steely and uncompromising. But by no means expensive for a mature wine. Could do with just a tad more fruit on the mid palate?" Drink 2020–2026
