Grapes: 90% Nebbiolo and 10% Tannat aged in French oak for 6 months unfined (2000 bottle production) 

Medium bodied and a translucent cherry red in colour, the aromatics are true to varietal with some floral, dried rose petals nuances, along with spice and lifted red berry fruits.

"One of those nebbiolos to drink by the liter, this has the variety's floral and herbal aromas as well as a good part of its tannins, which cling to the palate like claws here, supporting the delicious fruity and herbal flavors that invite you to continue drinking. An ideal red to accompany cured meats, this comes from vineyards planted about four kilometers from Río de la Plata, in the Atlántida zone. The first Notos was made in 2003."

"Red blend composed of Nebbiolo (90%) and Tannat (10%), aged for 9 months in third-use French oak. Tense and vibrant, it shows notes of red fruits, flowers, spices, herbs and earth, which are confirmed on the palate. It has vigorous acidity, firm tannins with great texture and a persistent finish, with hints of cherries, roses and licorice."

The winery is located where the River Plate, the widest river in the world, meets the Atlantic Ocean. This region provides clean cool ocean breezes and an ideal climate for the maturation of wine grapes. With only 16 hectares, they practice sustainable agriculture with no insecticides and only a very low grade fungicide to control downy mildew. The winemaker, Pablo Fallabrino, a laid back good natured surfer, is the perfect catalyst to create a world class winery. His approach is not to over think the winemaking process; instead, he runs with his instincts, takes chances and makes extraordinary wines with his own personal signature.
