Grape: 100% Melon de Bourgogne, unoaked, lees' ageing (with stirring) for 6-8 months

Straw yellow colour with golden hints. An elegant nose with floral nuances of acacia and honey opening onto more complex and warm notes of candied citrus and grilled nuts with a nice menthol freshness. The ample palate is fresh with a mineral attack in the mouth and is dominated by citrus notes. It's powerful and persistent with fresh and grilled notes.

Domaine Girard is a family estate located between two rivers (Sèvre & Maine), in the heart of the Muscadet area, at Rebourgère. What started as a small family farm with some cattle, cereal crops, and vines evolved into a winery in the 1970s under Gaston Girard.

Patrick Girard (3rd generation) took over from his father in 1991, and in 2013 his son, Guillaume (4th generation), joined him. Today, the estate is 38 hectares, and they practice "reasoned" cultivation.

Ideal as an aperitif, but will also pair with seafood, or pressed (hard) cheeses including Beaufort (Savoie) and mild Cheddar.
