The vineyards are located in the Oja and Tirón river valleys of La Rioja Alta, but the winery itself is based on the outskirts of Haro, the historical home of La Rioja’s most prestigious bodegas. Bodegas Muga has been a family business ever since its creation in 1932. Over the years, Muga wines have gained international recognition and acclaim. Meticulously faithful to their traditional wine-making methods, Bodegas Muga use French and American oak vats and casks throughout the entire process.

A beautiful pale pink Provençal colour. A very pretty nose of almonds and flowers, especially rose petals. Fruit aromas come through well too, red berry fruits, wild strawberries, together with some creamy, vanilla notes. On the palate, there’s a soft, full attack, quite succulent, followed by lovely acidity that balances out the first impressions of sweetness. The wine then develops beautifully with a tangy, refreshing finish. A nicely balanced rosé with surprising complexity.

"The very pale and delicate 2023 Rosado was still in tank, waiting to be bottled. 2023 was also a very ripe year, resulting in a challenging vintage. It's a combination of Garnacha and Viura. It has 13.4% alcohol and is still a bit reductive. They managed to keep the freshness, with moderate alcohol and a dry, chalky mouthfeel, clean, tasty, serious and long. This is a very gastronomical rosé. There will be some 300,000 bottles of this released."
