Grape: 100% Pinot Noir, 25 year old vines, 10ha vineyard planted on marl/clay/silt over limestone soil, oak aged 9-12 months (40% in vat, 60% in barrels)
Dark colour and intense, vivid nose, full of red (cherry/raspberry/redcurrant) and black fruits. Rich and oaky on the palate, this is a substantial wine with lovely sweet fruit and dense, chewy texture.
Drink with chicken tagine with olives and potatoes, rabbit with mushrooms, veal grenadin with balsamic vinegar and honey, or beef bourguignon.
