Grape: 100% Shiraz, oaked (90% French, 10% American, 16 months ageing in barrel - 10% new oak), fruit sourced from McLaren Flat (70 year old vines), Sellicks Hill (23 year old vines) and Blewitt Springs (21 year old vines) districts of McLaren Vale.
Deep inky purple in colour, this 2021 McLaren Shiraz offers intense blackberry, currants and spice aromas with a background of creamy vanilla oak derived from barrel maturation. The palate is long and dark, bursting with fruit flavour. The mid-palate generosity leads to a classy and elegant finish of great length. Tremendously satisfying, the McLaren Vale Shiraz ticks plenty of boxes for Shiraz lovers out there. A deliciously smooth, rich red wine highlighting its fruit rather than the chocolate character of many McLaren wines.
