Grape: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, matured in French oak barrels for 12 months 

Made from pre-phylloxera vines, this unique wine is from one of the oldest family owned estates in Chile. With an intense ruby red colour, its bouquet is clear and fruity, with a perfect balance between fruit and French oak, where prunes, blackberries and spicy notes outstand. To the palate it is pleasant and with great presence of ripe red and black fruits; it presents medium acidity, rounded tannins and a long finish. 

A great wine with a few years cellaring. 

Critics' Tasting Notes:

"This is the most historic of the wines from Macul, and it has been made since 1927. This year it has 70% cabernet from Buin, from vineyards planted in the 1990s, and 30% from cabernet vines that are more than 20 years old in the traditional Macul vineyard. And it's impressive to see how the herbal, menthol, and earthy aromas from Macul intrude and end up dominating in this elegant wine with very soft tannins and ripe red fruits and spices, a wine very much in the house style with the additional benefit of its connection with the place."
