Description
Costeval Rosé, Famille Ravoire, Coteaux d'Aix en Provence, France, 2023
Grapes: An unoaked blend of 40% Grenache Noir, 40% Syrah and 20% Cinsault
The wine has a pale, cherry-pink colour. With night-picking, to preserve the grapes' aromatics and acidity, this dry rosé has a delicate nose, revealing floral aromas with touches of berry fruits. The mouthfeel has a pleasant freshness, combining suppleness, roundness, vivacity and minerality with flavours ranging from citrus/lime fruit to red berries.
Critics' Tasting Notes:
"A herbaceous and red fruit nose that mirrors onto the juicy palate. One that has bags more red fruit, with some crunch and minerality, and a great sense of place"
90/100 points (Silver Medal), International Wine & Spirit Competition, 2024
Also awarded "Gold Medal", Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, 2024
Founded in 1987 by Roger Ravoire, the family domaine is located at the western edge of the Provence region in the sunny south of France. The rugged landscape is dotted with vineyards situated amongst low mountain ranges and Roger and his son, Olivier, offer a comprehensive range of both Provence & Rhone wines.
Pair this delicious rosé with salads, grilled vegetables, grilled meats, barbecues, pasta and with all Mediterranean style food.
