Grapes: A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, 20 year old vines, hand picked, matured in oak barrels (20% new)
The "second" wine of Chateau Cissac, made from the younger vines, shows a dark, brick red colour. This vintage has a mouthwatering bouquet of red fruits and soft spices. Plums & blackcurrants reveal themselves blended with hints of vanilla on the palate.
This Haut Medoc from an excellent vintage makes great value drinking.
