Grapes: A blend of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, 45ha vineyard on Garonne gravel soil, 34 year old vines, 33hl/ha yield, 14 months' ageing in barrel (30% new)

A re-release of this vintage direct from the chateau. Perfect provenance and maturity. Ideal drinking claret for Christmas.

Producer Tasting Note:

This vintage has a dark, deep colour and aromas of candied fruit, with a hint of spice from the Petit Verdot. The ripe, well-rounded tannins had a concentration that only an Indian summer can bring. The whole is balanced by a delightful acidity.
