Bonarda

Bonarda is a red grape variety found mostly in Argentina and is second only to Malbec in plantings here. It produces wines with berry flavours (strawberry and blueberry) and often with a note of smoke. Also grown in California, under the name "Charbono", it has no connection with the original Italian grape, Bonarda Piemontese.
