Alira winery's "Tribun" is thought to be a response to “Vox Populi,” an assemblage of three noble red varieties, to impress both novices and refined connoisseurs.
Grapes: 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot & 10% Feteasca Neagra
The grapes are picked manually, and then carefully selected on the sorting tables. Aged for about 3 months in French oak barrels for part of the wine, while the rest was kept in stainless steel tanks.
Ruby red with garnet reflexes, red fruit flavours, but also slightly minty (reminiscent of eucalyptus), on the palate there are sour cherries, cardamom, white pepper and black chocolate with fine tannins from grapes harvested at full maturity.
